Whether the European Court will use the mechanism of suspension of imprisonment of Afghan Mukhtali and whether it will ordered to release the journalist - the lawyer of Afgan Mukhtarly is waiting for answers to these questions from the Strasbourg Court.

According to the lawyer, the European Court of Human Rights has already applied to the Azerbaijan side to find out the details of the investigation and the state of health of the detainee. The decision will be based on the answers received from the Baku court.

"Afgan Mukhtarli` being in prison in Azerbaijan threatens his life and health, so we have appealed to the European Court," - said Archil Chopikashvili, a lawyer of Mukhtarli.
