Today the war heroes are being recalled. In honor of them and in memory of the events of 1993, relatives and politicians of the dead have gathered at the Memorial of Heroes in Tbilisi, . Family members of the deceased remembered the tragic events.

Representatives of the Abkhazian authorities were present at the memorial of the heroes. Members of the government paid tribute to the memory of the victims.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said that the main task of the Georgian government is the de-occupation of the occupied territories and the reconciliation of Abkhazians and Georgians.

The tragic events were remembered by the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia. According to Vakhtang Kolbaia, Georgian government should be able to restore confidence in relations with Abkhazians.
