Ask the Prosecutor`s Office - Giorgi Mgebrishvili on extradition of Saakashvili

"Ask the Prosecutor`s Office about who and how they addressed," - the Minister of Internal Affairs assesses the appeal of the Georgian Prosecutor`s Office regarding the extradition of Mikhail Saakashvili.

Giorgi Mgebrishvili did not comment on the record of his telephone conversation with Prankers, where Mghbrishvili alleged that the Georgian side did not want Saakashvili`s extradition. However, he did not answer Courier`s question on this issue today.

Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia has addressed the Ukrainian side for the third time demanding extradition of the third president of Georgia.

According to international standards, the third requirement for the extradition of a particular person the country can make in the event of a new criminal case against the person.

Mikheil Saakashvili`s attorneys link one more request for extradition with September 10 when Saakashvili is to arrive in Ukraine. Representatives of the opposition party are focusing on political persecution.
