Georgia`s NATO integration, security and reform of the Georgian Armed Forces - these issues were discussed at the Defense and Security Conference in Batumi recently opened by the Defense Minister of Georgia.

The event is attended by theCommander-in-Chief, Head of Government and other high-ranking politicians. The President of Georgia addressed the participants of the conference.

Giorgi Margvelashvili focused on the situation in the occupied regions and the aggressive policy of Russia.

According to the president, goodwill states need to develop a common strategy that will answer Russia`s aggressive policy.

NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative James Appathurai is participating in the conference.
