The mother of three young children who have wounded her husband with a knife may be sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The incident happened in Kobuleti municipality. Lia Mikeladze, wounded her 31-year-old husband, Khvicha Kiziria, in front of her little children. She admits herself but says that the incident was preceded by family conflicts. Lia Mikeladze says that her husband physically assaulted her.

Neighbors say that they knew nothing about domestic violence in the family of Kiziria . They negatively describe Lia Mikeladze and say that she had frequent conflicts with her neighbors.

The 31-year-old man wounded with knife still remains in the resuscitation department. He underwent emergency surgery.

Lia Mikeladze has not yet been detained by the police, Mikeladze left the village Ochkhumi after the conflict.

The Kobuleti Regional Police is investigating the case. Investigative actions are under way into attempted murder.
