Giorgi Margvelashvili discussed the situation in the occupied territories with UN Ambassadors

President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili discussed the situation in the occupied territories and the policy of non-recognition of the occupied territories with the UN Ambassadors visiting Georgia.

The President"s Press Office reports that the President of Georgia talked about the vision that the Government has on the difficult situation in the occupied territories of the state.

Giorgi Margvelashvili provided the United Nations Ambassadors with detailed information about the specific tragic cases - Giga Otkhozoria, Archil Tatunashvili and the steps that Georgia is taking to protect its citizens and compatriots- says the statement.

Tengiz Pkhaladze, Secretary of the President of Georgia, stressed that the current situation in terms of humanitarian law is extremely difficult and it needs special attention from international organizations and the UN.

The sides discussed issues related to the UN resolution on refugees and IDPs. The President has once again called on Georgia"s partner countries to support the resolution.
