Taking care of our army, our servicemen and further appreciating their merits is one of the main priorities and obligations of the Government. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia during his speech at the ceremonial event related to the 33rd anniversary of the Georgian Defense Forces in Vaziani.
“The Defense Forces of Georgia is 33 years old. I congratulate everyone on this day, which we celebrate with special pride. This day belongs to you, to each brave and professional soldier who defends the independence, peace and freedom of our country.
Our army has always stood steadfastly on guard of the country’s freedom and independence. I bow to the memory of all fighters who died heroically in defense of the motherland or in international peacekeeping missions. Their bravery, patriotism and fortitude are the values on which the Defense Forces are based.
I want to congratulate all veterans on this day and thank them for their loyal service to the motherland. I congratulate our wounded and injured fighters on Defense Forces Day. It is the duty of our state and society to support them as much as possible and appreciate their sacrifice.
Taking care of our army, our servicemen and further appreciating their achievements is one of the main priorities and obligations of the government. We are proud of our military, which is an integral part of our national identity. The army is the big family that belongs to and unites every citizen of Georgia”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
