Opposition members congratulated veterans on the victory day . Representatives of parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition were present at the Vake Park. They focused on the importance of  May 9.

According to Zaliko Udumashvili, member of "United National Movement", May 9 is the most important day in world history, because fascism has lost on this day.

"We ,Georgians are especially proud that Georgia has made a special contribution to win the World War II. This day is important for everyone, "said Zaliko Udumashvili.

According to David Bakradze, the leader of "European Georgia", the world celebrates   the defeat of Fascism, but it is most important to care for veterans.

Members of " Alliance of Patriots" came to Vake Park to celebrate Victory Day as well.

"These people fought not for the sickle and the thorn, but for our country, our homeland, fought against fascism," said Irma Inashvili.

Nino Burjanadze, the chairman of the "Democratic Movement - United Georgia" congratulated the population and especially veterans on the victory day of fascism.
