Bashar al-Assad and Anatoly Bibilov signed an agreement on cooperation and friendship between the authorities of the Syrian regime and occupied South Ossetia.

The sides agreed on cooperation in foreign policy, trade, economics and other fields.

Meeting between Anatoly Bibilov and Bashar al-Assad was held in Damascus where the occupied Tskhinvali region President arrived on a several-day visit. Damascus recognized independence of occupied South Ossetia and Abkhazia on May 29.
