David Tsukhishvili, who was in Gldani prison with Mirza Subeliani, is accused of falsifying Vano Merabishvili`s case. Former prime minister"s lawyers said at a special briefing that the former high-ranking official of the Prosecution Service was investigating the case of Merabishvili"s release.

Merabishvili"s lawyers claim that after the publication of the Gldani prison secret records it was established that Mirza Subeliani"s right hand could not investigate the crime committed by the former high-ranking official of the Prosecution Service.

Davit Tsukhishvili was studying security cameras on Merabishvili"s prison case. Part of the investigation materials carried out by the General Inspection was obtained by "Courier". In the protocol signed by Tsukhishvili, which he did after checking the security cameras, it is noted that there was nothing interesting in the footage of cameras.

The conclusions written by Davit Tsukhishvili and his testimonies are also in the materials sent by Georgia government to Strasbourg . However, the Georgian authorities failed to convince the European Court and the Georgian side was ordered to investigate the episode of Merabishvili"s withdrawal from the cell.

Lawyers and political opponents call on the government to release Vano Merabishvili. In the ruling party, they say that there will be no unanswered questions in this case.
