Official Tbilisi is facing another international scandal - the main strategic partner of the country has not appointed Ambassador in Georgia for 6 months already and it is clear that the reason for this may be the position of the "Georgian Dream" government.

The 4 independent confidential sources of "Courier" report that Bridget Brinks, former US deputy secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs, was considered for the position of the ambassador, though she is unacceptable to "Georgian Dream" and Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Representatives of the Georgian government state that no one was disapproved for the position of US ambassador to Georgia. Foreign Minister says that Georgia does not interfere in the selection of ambassadors of other countries.

Ian Kelly left Georgia in March and since then the country has been waiting for a new ambassador. The member of "UNM" Salome Samadashvili has questioned the fact that the new ambassador is not appointed in Georgia yet.
