Irresponsible and traitorous - this is the assessment of clerics in connection with Gedevan Popkhadze"s statement, which in the case of the victory of the opposition in the presidential election announced civil war.

The member of the Holy Synod Archbishop Petre accused "Georgian Dream" of lobbying the interests of the occupant country and noted that after the statement of Gedevan Popkhadze it seemed that the parliamentary majority does not think in the interests of the state.
Gedevan Popkhadze was accused of the country treason by the archpriest Giorgi Sakhvadze who reminded the MP that all those are condemned who ignites the destruction of the nation and the confrontation of the people.
This threatening of the member of the ruling party did not become the reason for the protest of the clergy only, the civil sector accuses the Georgian Dream of escalating the situation ahead of the second round of elections.

Gedevan Popkhadze is not the only MP from the Georgian Dream who has expressed threats. Dimitri Samkharadze, another member of the ruling party threatened to break the opposition"s teeth.

MPs of the parliamentary majority are trying to justify their colleagues. The opposition thinks that the government is in agony.
