The draft budget of 2019 became the reason for mutual accusations and controversy in the Parliament. Ivane Machavariani, the Finance Minister, opposed the opponents from the legislative body. The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volsky called on members of the legislative body to curb the debate.

Ivane Machavariani appealed to the member of the National Movement Roman Gotsiridze to refrain from insulting him.
