Journalists of the TV Company "Iberia" are asking for reimbursement of salary arrears. According to them, after the factory resumed its work, the accumulated debt should be paid. In addition, the freedom of media should not be used to achieve specific goals.
The former head of the Iberia News Service Vakho Khumismashvili said that the TV company was closed down for election purposes.
"The founders of the TV company" Iberia "did not consider themselves obliged to at least thank journalists of "Iberia" if they could not pay salaries,"- said Vakho Khuzmiashvili.
According to them, the founders of "Iberia" used the television for their business interests.
"Free media has been used for specific business interests and this is categorically unacceptable for us," said Tamar Urushadze, journalist of the Iberia TV.
