Emzar Zurabishvili, employee of Emergency Situations Management Service, was detained with regard to confrontation in the restaurant.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zurabishvili was detained for hooliganism.
According to the investigative agency, he injured the head of the prison supervision service, Chabua Gusurashvili and escaped from the scene.
The offense envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
Zurabishvili has been taken to the preliminary detention isolator.
The Emergency Management Service says that Zurabishvili is still on holiday.
The MIA is looking for another person, former prisoner, Giorgi Kanchaveli. He is accused of wounding three persons, including Zviad Mikhanashvili, former deputy head of the penitentiary department.The incident took place two days ago in a restaurant in Tskneti. Three people were wounded with a cold weapon during the incident. Two other persons are wounded together with former Deputy Minister of Justice Zviad Miqanashvili. One of them is Irakli Chitanava, Deputy Head of Probation Service, and the second wounded is the high ranking official of the same agency.
