"Nowadays there is much more and more NATO in Georgia but we want evem more" - Appathurai is in Georgia

James Appathurai is in Georgia. NATO Secretary General"s Special Representative for Caucasus and Central Asia arrived in Tbilisi late last night.
The first official meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 10 o"clock in the morning. A meeting is planned with Mamuka Bakhtadze and Salome Zourabichvili, as well as foreign and defense ministers.
James Appathurai will meet the opposition, including former presidential candidate Grigol Vashadze and representatives of NGOs.
During the talks with journalists, Appathurai focused on NATO"s plans for Georgia.
"I am looking forward to meeting with the President, Prime Minister, Defense and Foreign Ministers. Meetings are also planned with the representatives of the opposition and non-governmental sector. NATO wants to talk not only with those who are in the power of the country but with all the representatives of the society. 2018 was very fruitful in terms of NATO-Georgia relations. We have achieved a number of concrete goals. Now there is much more NATO in Georgia but we want even more. Today"s negotiations are about plans for 2019, "Appathurai said.
