A demonstration in protest of detention of Davit Kitkitadze, one of the leaders of United opposition is underway in front of the Gurjaani District Court The Prosecutor"s Office gas already filed a complaint against Davit Kirkitadze.

Kirkitadze"s teammates are waiting for the Gurjaani Court"s verdict.

According to the opposition, instead of persecuting political opponents, the authorities should punish those who issued an illegal order on December 16 and stormed the protesters.

Grill Vashadze, the Leader of the United Opposition says that Georgian Dream"s activists are untouchable and they are not even questioned by the investigation.

"We will undergo all court instances and if needed we"ll go to Strasbourg because they have restricted access to all constitutional rights envisaged under our country"s main law - restricted freedom of speech, freedom of expression,limited freedom of assembly . Kirkitadze should detained and Partskhaladze should be free?"- said Grigol Vashadze.

Giorgi Vashadze, the chairperson of the political platform "New Georgia" calls on the Judge of Gurjaani District Court to make impartial decisions.
According to Vashadze, today the court should not leave Davit Kirkitadze in custody.

Nika Vardoshvili, the head of Kakheti Regional Organization of Labor Party of Georgia also attends the United Opposition"s rally.
