Up to 30 MPs stand surety for one of the leaders of the United Opposition Davit Kirkitadze- Davit Kirkitadze"s attorney Giorgi Kondakhishvili made this statement.The prosecutor"s office has already appealed to the court regarding preventive measure for Davit Kirkitadze and has requested detention as a preventive measure.
"There is not any legal argument that Davit Kirkitadze should be subjected to the most strict measures of detention - arrest," said the lawyer.
According to the attorney, Davit Kirkitadze does not plead guilty and they will address the judge at tomorrow"s sitting not to use the preventive measure at all.
However, the attorney said that if the judge does not agree with the offer, he will be asked for a bail.
"The Prosecutor"s Office requests the use of arrest. We believe that the petition is absolutely incompatible with the requirement of the law, since today there is no danger of hiding, as more than 30 members of the Parliament of Georgia stand surety to David Kirkitadze and they agree to guarantee the proper behavior of David. We will submit a written petition to the court, "- said the lawyer.
