The candidates for the CEC Chairmanship hold meetings with members of the Commission. Lado Bozhadze and Mariam Shelegia talk about the unequal and non-competitive environment at the stage of election and say that possibility to elect them are relatively low.
lado Bozhadze, the candidate for the Chairmanship of the Central Election Commission of Georgia says that competition with Tamar Zhvania is very difficult because she has been working for the Election Administration for five years.
"We are not in equal conditions for the simple reason that Tamar is the current chairman," - says Bozhadze.
Mariam Shelegia, the Candidate for Chairmanship of the Central Election Commission speaks about unequal conditions as well. According to her, it is wrong when the CEC members are elected by the Parliament and the chairman is elected by the CEC members.
"There are Unequal conditions among other candidates and active chairpersons who vote for herself," she says.
The secret ballot will begin at 14:00 today and 12 members will elect the chairperson.
