Today, 13:02 166Former Governor of Samegrelo Zemo-Svaneti Levan Shonia was sentenced to 5000 GEL bail. The judge fully satisfied the request of the Prosecutor"s Office.
The investigation against former governor is under way into receive a gift prohibited by the law . The investigation found that in May 2018, on the request of Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Levan Shonia, a citizen transferred ten thousand lari to a person indicated by Levan Shonia.
Levan Shonia"s next trial will be held on February 4.
