According to the opponents of the authorities, the chairman of the "Georgian Dream" wants not the independent judiciary and judges, but those who will be obedient to him. Leaders of the opposition party say that this is exactly what Levan Murusidze is doing.
Murusidze"s appointment as a lifelong judge is assessed by the "European Georgia" as the response of the High Council of Justice to the Parliament of Georgia.
According to Otar Kakhidze, after the Parliament postponed the consideration of the list of the Supreme Court judges, the Council appointed Murusidze as a lifetime judge. Kakhidze considers that the parliament is to be held the responsible on the fact.
