"If suspension of lifetime appointment of judges is not supported, we will demand constitutional amendments" - Eka Beselia

Eka Beselia, a member of the parliamentary majority, expects her teammates to support the draft law initiated by her regarding a 5-year suspension of lifetime appointment of judges.
According to her, if the bill does not get support in the parliamentary majority, she and her team have a different action plan.
According to Beselia, she will start collecting signatures in order to make changes in the constitution and to suspend lifelong appointment of judges.
"I"m looking for support. In case of denial of support we have the next step. This next step will be a constitutional amendment and we will start collecting signatures and lustration of all the people who are in the Parliament and express not the will of people but of the small group that is part of the High Council of Justice will take place, "-said Eka Beselia.
The draft law prepared by Eka Beselia and her colleagues will be discussed at the session today, where the MPs are to vote for the issue with the first reading.
