Chognari residents protest against construction of garbage dump near the village

Residents of the village Chognari in Terjola district held a warning rally against construction of garbage dump. According to participants of the rally, the government promised to solve this issue and started to select alternative places for garbage dump. Population says they give a one-week deadline and if they do not change this decision, they will not allow to use the equipment and start hunger strike.
The population of these villages is involved in cattle breeding and producing of dairy products. The garbage dump will pollute the air and water so they can no longer produce products.
