The trial of Zviad Kuprava, who was detained on charges of attorney Irakli Zakareishvili"s case, will begin on April 10.
At today"s trial, Kuprava said that the policemen used excessive force at the moment of detention.
Dozens of policemen arrived at my place when I was sleeping and they arrested me by the use of force, - Zviad Kuprava, the head of the Law Enforcement Reform Center, said at the trial in response to the judge"s question whether his rights had been violated during the detention.

Kuprava spoke about his criminal case and the form of his detention.

"I held a briefing together with my friends and said that I was not going to hide. However, neither the investigator nor the prosecutor had called me before the arrest. They conducted a special operation, but there was no need for it,“ he said.

According to him, he had bruises all over his body and his wife was also abused.
