The so-called Parliament of occupied Abkhazia is planning today to ratify the draft law “On regulating the legal status of multifunctional complexes”.
The mentioned process is accompanied by noise and controversy. The local opposition is planning to hold a rally in parallel with the discussion of the issue of ratification of the Russian-Abkhazian investment agreement by the so-called Parliament.
The wave of protests in Sukhumi started right after the so-called parliament adopted the mentioned law, which regulates some concepts of the so-called intergovernmental agreement on investments with Russia.
The de-facto leader of the region, Aslan Bzhania, said that Abkhazia has enough power and means to ensure order in the country. According to him, “the situation in the republic is under the control of the government”.
