The President of Georgia voiced the initiative during her speech yesterday and criticized Giorgi Margvelashvili"s pardoning policy, which as she said was more like an amnesty than a human gesture.
"This decision is anti-constitutional - first, the Minister of Justice will not be able to get into the competence of the President, and if the Parliament intends to adopt the law, it is directly a violation of the constitution," said Lasha Tugushi, director of the Liberal Academy Tbilisi Foundation.
