The trial of Zviad Kuprava, the head of the Law Enforcement Reform Center, will continue with questioning of the prosecution witnesses. Today, the Tbilisi City Court will question the law enforcers who detained Kuprava during the incident in the court diner.
Zviad Kuprava"s lawyer says that the charge is absurd.
"Witnesses are police officers who detained Kuprava in the diner. Of course, the dispute may be whether the issue of detention was formal or not, but when it comes to politically motivated accusations it is important that this activity be assessed in its unity and in this case the state"s intention to keep him in custody and isolate from political activities is obvious" - says Eduard Marikashvili.
Law enforcers detained Zviad Kuprava on February 22 on charges of beating of lawyer Irakli Zakareishvili.
