Bidzina Ivanishvili was planning to arrest Irakli Alasania on corruption charges. Davit Berdzenishvili, leader of "Republican Party" recalls scandalous details of one of the majority meetings.Berdzenishvili says that during the meeting with the parliamentary majority Ivanishvili announced that he knew more details about Alasania than the Prosecutor"s Office and the criminal prosecution should have started against him.
Nobody of the majority members expressed protest or asked questions to Bidzina Ivanishvili. Davit Berdzenishvili says that the only one who was protesting against Bidzina Ivanishvili"s statements was Justice Minister and former member of Free Democrats Tea Tsulukiani and "Republican Party".
Alasania initially received the support of the Free Democrats team, but Ivanishvili managed to negotiate with them, and offer high-ranking positions, including to Davit Zalkaliani.
Davit Zalkaliani does not know whether Bidzina Ivanishvili was planning to arrest Irakli Alasania or why he was leaving the foreign ministry because of attack on Alasania.
Levan Samushia, the lawyer of the cable case and a member of the Free Democrats team, is confident that Ivanishvili"s main goal was the disappearance of Irakli Alasania from politics and revenge against him.
Davit Berdzenishvili says that Irakli Alasania was not the only one in Bidzina Ivanishvili"s political revenge list. By the same method, the oligarch fought against the "Republican Party".According to the leader of "Republican Party", people with political, intellectual and financial resources are unacceptable for Bidzina Ivanishvili and, therefore, people with these resources are to be destroyed by any method.
