NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg starts official meetings in Georgia


The NATO Secretary General starts official meetings in Georgia today. The first meeting will be held with the Prime Minister of Georgia at 9:00 am, after which the joint statements will be made with the media.
Audience is scheduled with the President and Parliament`s Speaker.
Jens Stoltenberg will attend NATO-Georgia joint trainings with the Prime Minister, Defense and Foreign Ministers, led by Georgian Defense Forces.
NATO Secretary General is accompanied by James Appathurai in Tbilisi. The guests will leave Tbilisi at the end of the day.
"We can say that the NATO week is going on in Georgia and the Secretary General, members of the Military Committee are attending military exercises, so today is more NATO in Georgia and than more Georgia in NATO. Georgia is already working successfully in the peacekeeping missions in cooperation with NATO and the European Union; the ongoing exercises, a meeting between partners and allies and 24 countries participating in this exercise, all this sends signal and improves our cooperation, "said James Appathurai.
