Today Georgia is as close to NATO as never before- Prime Minister addresses the military

The NATO-Georgia 10-day joint exercise ends tomorrow. A day before the completion of the exercises, Prime Minister, Defense Minister and President visited the NATO-Georgia Joint Training Center in Krtsanisi, . They got acquainted with the exercises process and addressed the participants .Admiral, Manfred Nelson, deputy head of NATO Alliance Transformation, also visited the base.
Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze underlined the importance of cooperation of NATO and Georgia. According to the Prime Minister, today our country, as a reliable partner of the North Atlantic Alliance, is close to NATO.According to Bakhtadze, Georgia is committed to freedom, democracy and the values of the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Georgia is aspiring to peace and prosperity and participates in NATO"s efforts to secure international peace and security over the years and it has been transformed from a security user into a security supplier state.

Our country is committed to the common values ​​of freedom, democracy, rule of law, and security –NATO was founded on. Georgia has confirmed all this through democratic reforms and significant contribution to strengthening international security. That is why Georgia, as the Alliance"s reliable partner, today, it is as close to NATO as never before, "said Mamuka Bakhtadze.
The Defense Minister emphasized the choice of the population of Georgia and noted that people have faith in values, which is the basis for the Alliance.
"The main motivation for our integration into the NATO is the choice of the population of Georgia and the belief in the values that NATO has created. This belief gives us the motivation to strengthen dynamics of cooperation in future and deepen relations with the NATO to become a full-fledged member country of NATO, "said Levan Izoria.
Admiral Manfred Nelson, deputy head of NATO Alliance Transformation, spoke about the close relationship between NATO and Georgia. He also said that the exercise is in English, which, according to Admiral, is a welcomed fact.
