Sopho Kiladze, the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament responds to the letter sent by eleven influential European Parliamentarians to the EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini.

According to Sopho Kiladze, an agreement that elections in 2020 will not be held by the proportional electoral system has already been agreed.

The ruling party"s MP does not see the need for transitioning to the proportional electoral system at this stage.

"We cooperate very closely with our western partners and some MPs have the right to apply Mrs. Mogherini but we have agreed on a constitutional reform that 2020 elections will be held in accordance. we have discussed it with the Venice Commission as well,"- Sopho Kiladze said.
