The National Bank has lost constitutional independence and it has become a department of the government - says a leader of United National Movement Roman Gotsiridze.

Gotsiridze says that all the actions that the National Bank has committed against the banking system, were under pressure from the government.

According to the MP, after his appointment, Mamuka Bakhtadze has raised issues of the banking system, which eventually led to tougher new regulation and "TBC Bank" repression.
