Vano Merabishvili"s Case and criticism regarding political persecution of the former high-ranking officials - European MP asked the Prime Minister of Georgia what the Georgian government is going to do after the Strasbourg Court"s decision.

Mamuka Bakhtadze was told that the European partners are worried about former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili"s case.

According to them, there is criticism towards the government of Georgia due to legal persecution of the predecessors.

The deputies were interested, what the Georgian government plans to do as the European Court of Human Rights ruled out a violation of the 18th article.

In response to the MP"s question, the Prime Minister said that the Committee of Ministers discusses the decision of the Strasbourg Court, which deals with one specific episode of Vano Merabishvili"s case.
