General Director of Rustavi2 responds to MP Dimitri Khundadze"s statement regarding prohibition of swearing in media.
As Nika Gvaramia writes on his Facebook page, he views the comments made by the MP as threats and intimidation.
He addresses the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Diplomatic Corps to focus on this issue.According to Nika Gvaramia, swearing is a form of expression which is not restricted by law and is directed towards Bidzina Ivanishvili.
"I, Nika Gvaramia, perceive the pre-written text read by the Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Khundadze at Ivanishvili"s instruction as a threat and intimidation to me personally and I call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Diplomatic Corps, US Embassy Tbilisi, Georgia, European Union in Georgia, to pay attention to this fact .
"My swearing is my form of expression which is not restricted y bthe law and is directed only to Georgia"s destroyer , Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is the main political figure in this country and has the obligation to tolerate. Let him get accustomed that people hate him and curse him and publicly express this. This is his personal choice and, if it wants to get rest from it, he should leave the government, there is no way out.
"Accordingly, if anyone and anything explodes, the family members get angry , then, Mr Khundadze as Ivanishvili"s personal MP, is threatening then only Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family members.will be responsible.
