A millions 200 thousand spent on luxury items by the public services in the last 4 months. Monitoring Center "Mediator" disseminates information regarding purchases of various items. An official document on procurement indicates that the sum is designated for wall decoration, expensive tables and chairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has spent the most on the luxury items, next are Batumi City Hall and Tskaltubo municipality. The opposition calls on the Audit Office to get interested in the case.
"53 agreements to purchase furniture and its accessories , they announced a tender where they spent more than one million and twenty hundred thousand GEL," said Dmitri Bidzinashvili, chairperson of the Monitoring Center "Mediator".
Levan Khabeishvili, member of Tbilisi Sakrebulo faction "United National Movement", says that the Audit Office should investigate the abovementioned issue.
