"Our country underwent four wars for 28 years. Three civil wars and one large-scale aggression from Russia," - Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces


Vladimer Chachibaia, the Head of the Georgian Armed Forces and the Head of the General Staff, mentioned the conflicts in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region in the 1990s as "internal civil war".

Vladimir Chachibaia said at the event dedicated to the day of Georgian Defense Forces that Georgia has undertaken four wars in the last 28 years, and one of them was with Russia.

"For 28 years our country has undertaken four wars, 3 civil and one large-scale aggression from the Russian state. A lot of European countries would have collapsed with their military forces, but Georgia is still standing and its military forces are developing, "Vladimir Chachibaia said.
