In Zugdidi, the Center for Democratic Development has started organizing meetings with the municipality mayoral candidates . The first meeting was held with the candidate of the United Opposition Sandra Roelofs.
Sandra Roelofs introduced Zugdidi development plan to young people .She also talked about Lazika"s project, which would create more than 50,000 jobs in Zugdidi and create prospects for young people.
Young people who came to the meeting expressed concern about the bad roads, transport and other problems.
They emphasized the problem of employment. According to them, young people leave the city due to lack of prospective and Zugdidi has become the city of pensioners.
"We were talking about the problems that are very clear in the Zugdidi municipality. We also talked about ideas, how young people can engage in internships programs, "said Roelofs.
