Lawmakers were demanding the appointment of a meeting from Miranda Meskhi, but the chairperson of the commission refused. The opposition demanded an answer - why the election stamps and lists were taken to the polling stations 5 days before the elections. However, the chairperson of the commission argues that the law has not been violated and accuses the opposition of speculation. Opposition activists and supporters are planning to hold their protest in a few hours already at the DEC.
"There was an attempt of rigging 5 days before the election.We demand to dismiss Miranda Meskhi from the position of the chairperson of the DEC and we also request the CEC to send new stamps because the stamps have not been returned are withdrawn, "- said Tinatin Bokuchava.
Koba Nakopia, a member of the National Movement faction , has been observing the process of returning the lists in Zugdidi.
"Most of the lists have already been returned to the DEC, this process is going on but the lists have not been returned from all precincts ," - says Koba Nakopia.
The member of the political council of the "United National Movement" and the head of Telavi regional organization Giorgi Botkoveli claims that the government has confirmed that it is trying to rig the elections.
