There is noise and confrontation at Zugdidi DEC election session. There are members of the United Opposition demanding the resignation of Miranda Meskhi, the Chairperson of the Commission. Opposition leaders have photo evidence that demonstrates that the lists and stamps from the Commission were kept in private ownership in violation of the law.The confrontation started before the start of the session.
Recently, Tina Bokuchava, the leader of the "National Movement" opposed the chairperson of the commission Miranda Meskhi. Bokuchava told Meskhi that she had no trust and therefore should resign.
Meskhi says she does everything in accordance with the law and provides a peaceful election environment.
"I would like to thank you very much for this PR," Meskhi replied to Bokuchava .
The United Opposition has demanded Miranda Meskhi"s resignation after she gave out desk lists and stamps . The opposition accused her of illegal action, after the protest, the lists were returned, and the stamps were changed by the CEC chairperson"s decision.
