No criminal proceedings will remain unpunished - MIA releases statement on interim elections


The By-Elections of May 19 - Ministry of Internal Affairs has released a statement. According to the agency, police forces are distributed in both the capital and in the regions, in order to ensure free and fair democratic and safe environment.The Ministry of Internal Affairs appeals to all persons and organizations engaged in the election process to observe the law, if necessary, apply to the police and facilitate the conduct of elections in a calm environment.
"Police officers are exercising their authority in order to facilitate the conduct of elections in a safe and calm environment.We appeal to all persons and organizations involved in the electoral process, regardless of their political affiliation, to observe the law, if necessary, apply to the police and facilitate the conduct of elections in a calm environment.During the election process the police will react and prevent any fact of offense. The police will not allow anyone to exacerbate the situation and any violation of law will not be left unpunished.The police will protect every citizen"s right to make their own choices in a peaceful and secure environment, "the statement reads.
