There never has been such a close relationship between Georgia and the European Union - the statement was made by the Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia. Carl Hartzell is on Freedom Square in connection with Georgia"s Independence Day.The EU ambassador noted that Georgia is very close to its values with the EU.
"I congratulate on behalf of 28 EU member states on the day of Independence of Georgia. In this country, the first seeds of democracy were sown 101 years ago and are really happy to see the fruit. We are working together, there never has been such close a relationship between Georgia and the EU and it is a great honor for me as the EU Ambassador, "said Carl Hartzell.
