Davit Gareji"s crisis may be fatal for Salome Zourabichvili. The opposition and constitutionalists believe that negotiations on delimitation of the border with Ilham Aliyev in Baku might be considered as a violation of the constitution that gives grounds for the impeachment of the president.

According to Article 52 of the Constitution, the President is obliged to hold negotiations on issues of foreign affairs only in agreement with the government.

The representatives of parliamentary majority do not know exactly if Salome Zourabichvili agreed the issue with government . Opposition MPs demand the parliament to study the issue.

The only legislator from "Georgian Dream" who openly declares that Salome Zourabichvili"s statements in Baku were agreed with the government is Gia Volski.

The President claims that she has initiated negotiations with the neighboring country regarding Davit gareji.

For initiation of the President"s impeachment 50 MPs are required, on which basis the Constitutional Court should begin to study the issue. If the country"s main law is violated, then the court will send the report to the parliament. Voices of hundred MPs are needed to take a decision on the president"s resignation.
