The parliamentary committee session where the Minister of Economics is delivering a report has continued for more than six hours. The questions of opposition to NatiaTurnava were related to the developments in Pankisi on April 21. 

Giga Bokeria, one of the leaders of "European Georgia" asked why the police used a special force in Pankisi Gorge even though Pankisi is not the only place, where locals resist the construction of Hydro Power Plant. Minister Natia Turnava explained that the Interior Ministry works professionally, but there was a lack of communication in case of Pankisi developments.

“Police give a response everywhere, where an investor can appear in danger and the Interior Ministry and patrol police are informed about it. The Interior Ministry behaved adequately, normally and professionally in Pankisi, but when such an incident takes place, everybody shares the responsibility. The government is responsible for the misunderstanding. Lack of communication was fairly named as the reason for [Pankisi developments] and my Ministry and I are also responsible for it,” Natia Turnava said.
