Shalva Shavgulidze did not congratulate Lado Kakhadze on victory

The victory obtained through unacceptable methods for democracy - Shalva Shavgulidze evaluated the results of the second tour of the elections.
The candidate of "European Georgia-Free Democrats" did not congratulate Lado Kakhadze, who was supported by the government.
Shavgulidze linked his failure to the low level of voter turnout and the facts of bribery-intimidation carried out by the government on voters.
"Unfortunately, this time we did not seem to convince the vast majority of voters in the need to change the government, which it is not trusting, passive protest is not enough. You need to come to the elections and actively fix your position. Against the background of low voter turnout, the government has managed and maintained positions. But there is nothing to celebrate here because unacceptable methods for democracy have been used to achieve this outcome; so, this is not a victory, "Shalva Shavgulidze said.
The final results of the second round of elections in Mtatsminda district are known. According to the CEC, "Georgian Dream" candidate Lado Kakhadze won 61,83% of votes and Shalva Shavgulidze, a candidate of "European Georgia-Free Democrats", 38.17% of the votes.
