Salome Zourabichvili calls on the international community and Georgia"s partners to strengthen pressure on Russia.

The President of Georgia made a statement in Geneva, where she attends the 108th International confirmation of age Labor Organization.

Salome Zourabichvili spoke about Georgia"s economic and legislative achievements, but noted that progress is not extended to the occupied territories.

The President said directly that Russia pursues its policy in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

"20 percent of Georgian territory is occupied by Russia. In Abkhazia and South Ossetia, there is a difficult humanitarian situation. Labor rights are not an exception. The mobilization of the military contingent continues, the illegal detention of citizens and the kidnapping of people across the occupation line, the violation of human rights, the right to life, the right to education in Georgian language is restricted and the process of russification is actively underway, "President said.
