The government will postpone the term of financial closure of "Anaklia Development Consortium" for 6 months - Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Maia Tskitishvili made this statement.
According to Tskitishvili, the information about the transition period of 6 months has been received from the Consortium itself.
"At the meeting with international financial institutions, which took place on May 21, we also announced that the deadline that was now the last deferment for financing, which was June 15, was not enough in the ongoing process. We have received from the consortium this week that it would be 6 months, and as we agreed on this meeting, we would postpone the deadline with the consortium, "- Maia Tskitishvili said.
Maia Tskitishvili"s comment coincides with the statement made by Mike Pompeo in which the US Secretary of State hopes that the implementation of the Anaklia port project will not be endangered.
