"We only welcome that the US State Department"s senior officials are well informed," - is the response of the ruling team to the statement of the US Secretary of State. The parliamentary majority says they are ready to continue their reforms, which Mike Pompeo has pointed out.
The "Georgian Dream" does not see anything special in the statements of Pompeo regarding the democratic elections, Anaklia port project, and free court.
"The most significant messages are related to Georgia"s territorial integrity and support for NATO integration. It is necessary that all elections are held democratically and it does not need to be emphasized. It is already clear that the focus is on Georgia"s internal issues, which means that the attention of the United States towards Georgia is very good and desirable for our country because we need such attention, " -Tamar Chugoshvili said.
In the parliamentary majority, the attention is paid to the part of Pompeo`s message, where he assesses the reforms positively.
After the statements made by the Secretary of State during the meeting with Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, in which Mike Pompeo touched upon the court independence, free elections and the port of Anaklia, these messages were clearly reflected in the Joint Declaration issued by the State Department.
