MIA"s position is that Pride should not be held - the statement was made by Public Defender Nino Lomjaria. The Ombudsman attended the meeting held at MIA together with representatives of "Tbilisi Pride".

According to the Public Defender, representatives of the MIA told the organizers of Tbilisi Pride that the march should not be held, because it is connected with serious security risks.

As for the cultural events planned to be carried out in frameworks of Tbilisi pride, Lomjaria said that MIA is ready to protect their safety.

"IThey told not to hold the Pride, as it is linked to serious risks. It was a topic of discussion, "said Nino Lomjaria.
