"More than a hundred policemen were injured and just 14 civilians were stamped in the rally,"- says Irakli Sesiashvili, the member of the Parliamentary majority.
According to him, the opposition was trying to develop a revolutionary scenario. The police refrained from using force until it became necessary.

Sesiashvili says that they were forced to use force.

"The police have been defending our citizens with patience for two hours. In these two hours, nearly a hundred policemen were injured, while only 14 civilians are stamped,"- said Irakli Sesiashvili.

The chairman of the Defense and Security Committee underlined that the position of the government was not to allow violence in the country. Sesiashvili says that unfortunately there were cases where the police used excessive power.

" Responsibility of ten police officers have been suspended, and criminal proceedings have started against two policemen. The main thing is to give our society an adequate response, "said Sesiashvili.
