"Your opposition has arranged provocation with absolutely wicked intent," said Gennady Onishchenko, a member of the Russian State Duma faction "Edinaia Rossia".
Onishchenko responded to an attempt to hold a parliamentary inter-parliamentary assembly in Tbilisi, when Russian MP, Sergei Gavrilov was forced to leave Tbilisi immediately because his visit caused irritation.
Onishchenko says Russia should impose political, besides economic sanctions on Georgia.
"You have been inviting the Orthodox Assembly to Georgia and for three years, you have been trying to hold this meeting in Georgia. Your opposition has arranged provocation with absolutely wicked intent. There were no people, there were bribed warriors and this action was a complete provocation, so Russia has not yet received, but I hope that it will take not economic, but political decisions, "Onishchenko said.
